Future UI changes

Yeah, I can't think of any punny titles now. Here's a fun fact! The first post I made on this blog is titled "Hello, World!" It's basically the first program most programmers write and it's like saying, "hey! I did it! I made something work!" The fact that I titled my first post "Hello, World!," if not smart, is at least poetic. Most posts since then I've tried coming up with something smart or punny too, but that didn't last long, did it?

Hmm? Why am I telling you all these? Well, it may or may not have something to do with how people in the game will have silly little quips and conversations like these. One thing I really like when it comes to RPGs and mostly JRPGs is that they're full of silly conversations like these. And with games like Harvest Moon and Rune Factory, they have something new to say every single time. If you're not into this, then I dunno. You can ignore these conversations you can have with others and their character, world and/or story exposition and get off to the porn instead. I'm such an asshole.

But, let's talk about something that has to do with the title itself. Here's a mock up of the UI. I'm not gonna implement this anytime soon until I have something concrete though. And as you can see, it's currently anything but that. As always, let me know what you think!
The HUD is for the most part done. The Menu Screen isn't.
Oh, also, I've decided to change the as-of-yet-unimplement-patreon-perk of the 20$ tier's ambiguous "special polls" to "scene polls" where I give you a list of h-scenes for you to choose for me to prioritize on making. Yay for no more ambiguity!

  1. I think a party members id a little too big. Maybe you can do it just a slightly smaller? For more space on the screen.

Everything else is very cool for me :)

  2. How much characters do you plan to make in the game who will be gender-bendered? Only main character and Kerry or we will see much more?

    1. Player and Kerry isn't the only ones who got genderbended. So we'll definitely see more characters who are genderbended. I don't know how many will be genderbended though, so yeah.

  3. Wait... why main hero had the archer class on the picture? Is it a coincidence or a subtle hint? :D

Oh, I really wonder, what is the classes of main characters in game? I think Kyle is the some sort of warrior class and Kerry mage (i think, she is the healer, but not sure). Am i right or no? :D
Oh, and if you already answered this question somewhere, or it could be seen in the game, then I apologize for my inattention!

    1. Nah, the archer icon is just there to see how it looks against the other things. It'll most likely not even look like that in the end product. But no, it's not a subtle hint or anything. Nothing about Player is canon, really.

I haven't mention this anywhere yet, but Kyle IS a warrior. So is Tatsumi. But Kerry isn't a mage. She's an archer.

    2. Really? I thought that Tatsumi had some sort of rogue class. And Kerry is archer? Intresting.

In this case, I have another question. I played a few MMO-games and I know that sometimes it is almost impossible to play without a proper party. The main characters planned to play in party, right? That's why I'm wondering how they were going to play. From my experience - good party begins with the healer. Then you need a good tank and powerful DD. This is the basis of productive playing.
Of course this does not apply to playing "just for fun". There, of course, do not apply any rules or laws. Everyone does what they wants. They were going to play that way, right?

    3. Won't go into TOO much details right now, but I'm essentially trying to maintain a good amount of challenge, especially in early game.

First, potions have cooldowns so you can't use them as a clutch, and to encourage you to stock up on food items to serve as healing items and buffs in-between each combat.

Second, exp is split among party members to encourage solo grinding, which means if you solo grind, you'll gain levels much faster with the downside of having more challenging combat and risk being raped by them horny mobs.

Third, superficially increasing the difficulty in early game by not giving you a healer. Though if you are a mage you can learn a regeneration skill (for yourself). Heals are *mostly* reserved for the priest class.

Yep. This is what I do when I'm not creating art assets. Making design choices and shit. That said, I'll most likely be making tweaks to these depending on player feedback, like making other options more viable or nerfing certain things and stuff.
