Not much else to say except that I fixed the damn game. This is what happens when you try something new and expect it to work without problems. Oh, and the fact that I didn't playtest before uploading, I guess. Also, note that I didn't update the version number in game. It shows up as "build 4" instead of "build 4.1." Rest assured that you're playing build 4.1. Build 4 doesn't even start.
Updated links in the download tab.
Update: So, the reason the cutscene is missing in the abandoned house is because I fucked up. I'll upload a fix in a little bit.

ReplyDeleteNothing to see here. Just some tech demo, citizens. Just pass by and do not make panic. Everything under control. No new tits or something like this. Pass by, citizens...
If seriously, menu and ui become much more smoother. Like it!
There is nothing more then the intro?
ReplyDeleteDid you aim for that stretched character design or is that an bug? Also the text boxes are a bit out of control. The character are annoying. The Questions are very confusing, because you have literally no idea how they will affect anything. I have tried it for two times and still have no idea what that one decision was about. The maps aren't very good looking, but bearable, if there weren't all this strange rock lines. Can't interact with anything at the old house and don't see an way to progress. Besides the nice interface at the left upper corner and your great drawing of that girl, the whole game feels terrible. Sorry to say that so harsh, but well, that's how I fell about it, also I'm a bit disappointed, because I was waiting for it since the beginning of march. Tough, still better then the original endings from Mass Effect 3.
Forgot to mention, the menus are good looking as well.
DeleteLike what Officer Joe said, this is more or less a tech demo. I call it a pre-build for a reason. A lot of things right now are placeholders. Meaning they'll be replaced before reaching v0.1. Some of these things are as you mentioned, placeholders. The stretched out characters and the rock looking lines are said placeholders.
DeleteI'm not sure what you mean by the questions being confusing. The first choice is selecting your sex, the second is during the h-scene where you choose to either touch or stop him.
The only way to progress is to head east, or right from our perspective. But the game currently ends the moment you reached the city gates. Other than that, I'll see about adding some interactables in the house.
I encountered that bug too, I think if you fast forward the text, and then go south to the house it bugs out and the cutscene doesnt take place. Also after naming your in-game character it gives an error : img/characters/%24Player.png
DeleteLooks like I've missed a lot of things! I'll do a playtest and upload a new fix within 24 hours.
DeleteI got that bug to, but I didn't fast forward the text or anything. I just kinda kept pressing enter to get through the text faster, well that and I'm a fast reader, and when I reached the house nothing. Then I did another run through, this time fast forwarding through the text, and still nothing. I also did one where I skipped the intro because I was stuck. That was how I learned there was a second scene.
